93 Points Micro Cuvée Pinot & Chard!

Another fantastic review of our 2012 Pinots & Chards! Daenna Van Mulligen of WineScores.ca recently wrote up our not yet released 2012 Micro Cuvée Pinot & 2012 Micro Cuvée Chard both scoring an amazing 93 points!

Here’s what Daenna says about our 2012 Micro Cuvée Pinot:

“Only 100 cases of this top-tier Micro Cuvée Pinot Noir were produced, made from exceptional and hand picked barrels from the 2012 vintage. For those who love the potent and seductive side of Pommard, this bottle is evocative of the more sensuous versions of some of my favourites from the Bourgogne commune. Pure fruit expressions of raspberry and dark cherry with sarsaparilla, a potpourri of dried violets and cedar chips, cocoa and roasted beets. The palate is supple, with a silky texture; generous dark berry and cherry, cedar and cocoa flavours frolic across your tongue. Wonderful balance here; the tannins are youthful but sweet and ripe. One for the cellar – 5+ years or decant if you really don’t want to wait.”

Here’s what Daenna says about our 2012 Micro Cuvée Chard:

“Only two barrrels (100 cases) of this Micro Cuvée Chardonnay were produced from the Naramata Bench’s Old Main Road Vineyard, which is composed of alluvial, silt and clay loam soils – it is deservedly, their top-tier Chardonnay. Seductive. Lemon meringue toils with other exotic citric notes, honey roasted nuts, sweet toasted spices, pear and yellow apples. The palate is complex and generous – mouthwatering yet creamy. Flavours of brown butter, flame scorched lemon peel and mineral roll into fine toasted oak and roasted nuts. Excellent persistence and vibrancy.”
