92 Points – Tribute Series Chard!

Another great review of our 2012 Tribute Series Chardonnay!
92 points from WineAlign‘s David Lawrason!
“Each year Meyer’s Tribute Chardonnay nods to a different Canadian personality. This year its former NHLer and hockey broadcaster Kelly Hrudy. I encountered this massive, riveting chardonnay at Victoria’s Gold Medal Plates culinary competition where it accompanied the gold medal dish by chef Kristian Eligh of Vancouver’s Hawksworth restaurant. And what a great chardonnay it is – with the stature and complexity of a great Meursault. But it has more fruit, an impressive sense of peach-pear custard cushioning all the peaty, hazelnut and mineral complexity. Full bodied, firm yet expansive on the palate, with a hint of barrel tannin. The length is excellent to outstanding.” Tasted October 2014.
