The results from the 2016 National Wine Awards of Canada (NWAC) were released this week and we are honoured to be named #5 winery in Canada, #3 winery in BC and #3 small winery in Canada!
The National competition was held this June in Penticton, and the wines were judged over five days by 21 judges from across Canada. The judges are all well-established wine writers and educators with broad international wine experience. There were also two international guest judges – Dr. Jamie Goode from the UK, and Elaine Chukan Brown from California. The competition wines are blind-tasted and judged in categories according to varietal or style, using the 100-point scoring system.
This year, 230 Canadian wineries entered the competition (143 from BC) and 1,525 wines were submitted.
We are thrilled to receive 4 Gold medals, 2 Silver medals and 2 Bronze medals for the following wines:
2014 Micro Cuvée Pinot Noir
2014 Old Block Pinot Noir
2014 Okanagan Valley Pinot Noir
2014 McLean Creek Road Chardonnay
2014 Tribute Series Chardonnay
