$21.83

Hand-picked from estate-operated Old Main Road Vineyard on the Naramata Bench, Anarchist Mountain Vineyard in Osoyoos and our home vineyard on McLean Creek Road in Okanagan Falls. The unique terroir of these three vineyard sites yields a precise wine with elegance, finesse and length. The wine is vibrant with white floral, citrus and lemon zest on the nose and the palate is clean and crisp displaying classic Okanagan peaches, yellow apples and crunchy pear. A partial wild ferment took place and the wine was aged in a combination of stainless-steel vessels (80%) and neutral French oak barrels (20%) for 6 months. Winemaker Notes

The grapes were gently whole cluster pressed with the juice being cold settled overnight. It was then racked off its heavy sediment into a combination of older seasoned French oak barrels (20%) and stainless-steel vessels (80%) where it went through a cool fermentation using a mix of indigenous and cultured yeast. The wine was left on its fine lees for six months, the wine went through 75% natural malolactic fermentation.

    Vineyard Notes

The wine is a blend of fruit from three vineyards: our estate-operated vineyard at Old Main Road on the Naramata Bench, Anarchist Mountain Vineyard in Osoyoos, and our home vineyard on McLean Creek Road in Okanagan Falls. This Chardonnay is a blend of many separate small batch picks from September 27th through October 18th. The unique terroirs of the three vineyard sites yield a precise wine with elegance, finesse, and length. Although we are not certified organic, we practice organic/sustainable farming principles.

    Product Notes

The 2022 vintage was a classic Okanagan growing season with a typical Spring budburst in early May and beautiful weather into June. We had beautiful flowering weather from late June into July which resulted in good yields across the valley. July and August were consistent with previous years although slightly cooler slowing the vines growth cycle. Leading up to harvest, the crop level was significantly higher compared to past vintages and needed more time to ripen. The weather was perfect for ripening with warm days and cool nights providing a lengthy hang time for our Pinot Noir blocks to develop flavours and physiological ripeness. The white varieties were harvested later than normal but the fruit was able to develop a great balance of sugars to acid and superb flavours.
