"The 2020 vintage was the best in recent years, comparable to the excellent 2016 season in Okanagan Falls... The Micro Cuvée is all McLean Creek Road Vineyard fruit, and the vines are now 28 years old. It is individually tasted and selected from stand-out barrels: one new French oak puncheon; two new French oak barrels; and two one-year-old puncheons. The winemaking is hands off, and the wine unfined and coarsely filtered at bottling. The style is lightly reductive, and the nose is fragrant, feeding off ripe fruit, mineral, wet stone, toast, and tropical fruit that runs deep and long throughout. The finish has a bit of ginger and creamy vanilla notes. Impressive, as always." ~ Anthony Gismondi, Tasted May 2022
